VALDOSTA, GA. - The Christian Brothers University softball team dropped both games in the doubleheader against Valdosta State on Saturday afternoon. The Blazers won 9-1 (5) in game one and in game two.
GAME ONE
FINAL SCORE: VSU 9 (26-19, 16-9 GSC) CBU 1 (18-28, 9-19 GSC)

GAME CHANGER:
VSU used a big 5th inning to help get the run rule victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
· The Blazers had a 10-2 advantage in hits.
· Haylee Alberson led the way going 2-2 with a homerun and an RBI.

KEY PLAYS:
The Blazers went up 2-0 in the second on a two-run homerun. Alberson scored the lone run for CBU in the 3rd with a homerun.
VSU plated 3 more in the third inning to make the score 5-1.
The Blazers scored 4 more in the fifth to end the game via run-rule, 9-1.
GAME TWO
FINAL SCORE: VSU 8 (27-19, 17-9 GSC) CBU 5 (18-29, 9-20 GSC)

The Blazers used a big 4th inning to help get the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
· CBU had an 8-7 advantage in hits.
· Haylee Alberson led the way going 2-4 with a homerun and 2RBIs.
· Summer Alexander also had a homerun and 2 RBIs.
KEY PLAYS:
CBU went up 2-0 in the third inning on a two-run homerun by Alexander.
VSU made it 2-2 in the bottom of the third on a two-run homerun.
The Blazers plated 4 more in the fourth to make it 6-2.
Alberson's homerun made it 6-4 in the 5th.
CBU plated one more in the 6th on an RBI double by Josie Bond making it 6-5.
VSU played 3 more in the sixth to end the game 8-5.
