BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Christian Brothers University placed 75 of its student-athletes on the Gulf South Conference Honor Roll for the fall 2024 semester when the awards were announced on Friday. Additionally, CBU men's soccer's Phillip Jauch earned All-GSC Academic Team honors.
To achieve honor roll status, a GSC student-athlete must have a grade point average of 3.00 or better out of a possible 4.00 at the time the conference announces the award and have competed in outstanding competition–not counting exhibitions or scrimmages–during the season the award is presented.
HONOR ROLL LIST
To be named to the All-GSC Academic team, nominees must have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or better their entire academic career at their institution and may not be a freshman or first-term transfer. The student-athlete must also be a significant contributor to the team. Other factors include leadership, community service and extracurricular activities. Institutions are not allowed to vote for their own student-athletes. The number of student-athletes selected in each sport is determined by the number of positions normally involved in the playing of that sport. Ties are not broken.

Jauch, a graduate student from Zug, Switzerland, earned the prestigious honor of being named to the All-GSC Academic men's soccer team for his contributions both on and off the pitch. His 3.95 cumulative GPA in his MBA program more than qualified him for consideration for the award.
As one of the team's captains, he logged more minutes (1,553) than any of his teammates during a successful 2024 campaign in which CBU finished second in the regular season standings and made a quarterfinal appearance at the GSC Tournament. Jauch was named to the All-Tournament team for his outstanding performance through two rounds.
ALL-GSC ACADEMIC TEAMS
One thousand one hundred twenty-nine student-athletes across six sports were named to the 2024 Gulf South Conference Honor Roll for the fall, while 76 student-athletes earned All-GSC Academic Team honors. The sports represented for both awards included men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, football and volleyball.
