Hot Springs, Ark. – The Christian Brothers University women's golf team showed determination and teamwork at the Henderson State "Battle For The Belt", battling through tough conditions and a deep field of regional contenders. The Lady Buccaneers were led by junior Jordan Pigeon, who finished tied for 32nd overall at +24, posting rounds of 79, 81, and 80 for the event.
Pigeon delivered CBU's most consistent performance of the tournament, finding rhythm on the back nine in her final round and closing with strong par saves to stay within the top half of the leaderboard.
Right behind her, Emma Butler turned in a +27 (T-37) performance, highlighted by steady play through the middle of her second round. Chloe Williamson followed in a tie for 42nd (+29), opening with back-to-back solid rounds before fighting through a difficult third day.
Mayte Servin Ortiz recorded a +33 (T-46) finish, showing resilience after recovering from an early triple bogey in round two with a string of pars. Freshman Reese McNeer rounded out the scoring at +42 (53rd), gaining valuable tournament experience in her collegiate debut event.
The Lady Buccaneers showed flashes of potential and competitiveness against a field that featured multiple conference champions and nationally ranked programs.
Christian Brothers will look to carry the experience gained into their next outing as they continue to build momentum through the fall campaign.
