AUM Defeats Christian Brothers 3–1 in GSC Clash

MEMPHIS, TN. – Christian Brothers University men's soccer fell 3–1 to Auburn Montgomery on Sunday afternoon in a competitive Gulf South Conference matchup.

The Warhawks struck first just eight minutes into the contest when Alan De Paula converted a pass from Noah Fernandes to give AUM the early 1–0 advantage. The Buccaneers responded quickly as Juan Minguez Malonda found the equalizer in the 19th minute, finishing off an assist from Matthias Ran De Berg.

AUM regained the lead just four minutes later, with Benjamin Hoffman scoring his eighth goal of the season, again assisted by Fernandes, putting the visitors ahead 2–1 at halftime.

Christian Brothers applied steady pressure in the second half, outshooting AUM 8–3 over the final 45 minutes, but the goalkeeper turned away four shots to preserve the lead. The Warhawks scored late in the 84th minute to seal the 3–1 victory.

CBU totaled 14 shots in the match, led by Will Allen with four attempts and Olaf Kramer with two shots on goal.

The Buccaneers (8–4–2, 5–2–2 GSC) will close out the regular season on the road next week before beginning postseason play.
