Box Score 3 With chances to win all three games, the Christian Brothers softball squad came up just short in a weekend series against Auburn-Montgomery.
GAME 1
AUM scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to beat CBU, 3-2, in game one of the series. Riley Simpson had two hits and an RBI for the Lady Bucs. Marin Beeson, Katelyn Harmon and Janiah Anderson also had hits for CBU. Ashley Williamson drove in a run.
GAME 2
CBU dropped the second game of the series, 2-0. AUM's Avery Dickerson was dominating on the mound striking out five while allowing just four hits. Emily Schooler pitched well for CBU surrendering just five hits with two strikeouts. Williamson, Harmon, Simpson and Kate Candies had hits for the Lady Bucs.
GAME 3
Auburn-Montgomery again scored in the bottom of the seventh to snatch a victory from CBU, 5-4. The Lady Bucs scored two in the first and two in the third to build a 4-3 lead before AUM tied it in the fifth. Harmon had two hits for CBU. Beeson, Candies, Anderson and Kiera Coulon had a hit each. Candies drove in two with a double. Gabby Dickerson struck out three in a complete game effort.
The Lady Bucs (10-16, 2-13) are back in action Tuesday with a doubleheader at Williams Baptist University in Walnut Grove, Arkansas.
