Christian Brothers picked up its first Gulf South Conference wins of the season taking the first and last games of a three-game series against Delta State in Memphis.Â
GAME 1
    Trailing 1-0 in the sixth inning, CBU tied the game on an
Abigail Garrison single and then took the lead when
Marin Beeson drove in with a single to centerfield. Beeson and Katie Candies each had two hits for the Lady Bucs.Â
Gabby Dickerson pitched a complete game to gain her fourth win of the year. Dickerson scattered eight hits, walked two and struck out four. She forced Delta State into stranding two runners in the seventh inning to secure the victory.
GAME 2
    Delta State won a hard fought second game in the series, 4-2. CBU tried to rally in the bottom of the seventh.Â
Haylee Alberson singled to cut the lead to 4-2, but the Lady Bucs couldn't get another run across.Â
Vivian Watts pitched 4.1 innings of scoreless relief for CBU striking out three.
GAME 3
    With the game tied 2-2, CBU exploded for six runs in the fifth inning to gain the victory, 8-2. In the fifth inning,
Kate Candies walked with the bases loaded to break the 2-2 tie. Mackenzie Giesler singled to score another run and
Kamryn Neely singled in two more after that. Janiah Alexander drove in a run with a ground out and
Ashley Williamson singled to score two more. Williamson and
Marin Beeson each had three hits for CBU.Â
Emily Schooler pitched a complete game for her second win of the year. She didn't walk a batter and struck out four.
