Lady Bucs Drop Series to Montevallo

     CBU lost a three game series at home against Montevallo in Gulf South Conference action.  The Lady Bucs lost the first game, 9-1, then dropped both ends of a doubleheader by scores of 6-3 and 2-0.  CBU is now 15-27 overall and 6-21 in conference play.

GAME ONE
     Haylee Alberson had two hits for CBU in a 9-1 loss.  Kate Candies, Abigail Garrison and Ashley Williamson added a hit apiece.  Alberson had the Lady Bucs' lone extra base hit with a double.  Vivian Watts struck out one in an inning of scoreless relief.

GAME TWO
     Montevallo took the second game of the series, 6-3.  Riley Simpson and Katelyn Harmon had two hits each for CBU.  Harmon and Kamryn Neely doubled.  Simpson also drove in two for Christian Brothers.  Emily Schooler pitched a complete game striking out one.

GAME THREE
     The Lady Bucs fell in the series finale, 2-0.  Montevallo scored two runs in the first inning and that held up the rest of the way.  There were only three hits in the game – two by Montevallo and one by CBU in the pitcher's duel.  Gabby Dickerson pitched a complete game for the Lady Bucs striking out four.
