CBU picked up one win in its weekend Gulf South Conference baseball series against Mississippi College in Clinton, Miss. After losing the first game, the Bucs bounced back for a win in game two and then lost the series finale. CBU is now 14-22 overall and 5-19 in conference play.
GAME 1
    CBU lost in game one of the series, 24-8. After falling behind 21-1 after three innings, the Bucs rallied for eight runs in the final four innings.Â
Jackson Licata singled in two runs in the fifth for CBU.Â
Logan Wurm singled in a run and eventually scored on an error. The Bucs added three more runs in the seventh inning.Â
Gabe Walker scored on a fielding error followed by
Will Gossett driving in a run with a groundout.Â
Logan Croley singled in the Bucs final run.
GAME 2

Jalen Smith homered twice and drove in five runs to lead Christian Brothers to a 9-7 win in game two. Smith smacked a three-run homer in the first to put CBU up early. Â
Jackson Licata singled in a run in the second to give CBU a 4-1 lead. After giving up five runs in the bottom of the second to fall behind, 6-4, the Bucs scored three in the top of the third to regain the lead.Â

Jalen Smith smashed a two-run homer in the fifth to secure the win. Charlie Faero picked up his first win of the year pitching the first six innings.Â
Seth Brown pitched a scoreless seventh to earn the save.
GAME 3
    CBU fell behind 11-0 through the first four innings and couldn't recover losing the final game of the series, 18-3. All the Bucs runs came on a three-run homer by
Cory Steinhauer in the fifth inning.
