Welcome New Assistant AD for Compliance & Academics

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Mollie Best has been named the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance & Academics at Christian Brothers University, Interim Director of Athletics Dr. Ricky Jackson announced.

A graduate of Gulf South Conference member Auburn University Montgomery, Best returns to the GSC after a year working in NCAA Division I. Best comes to CBU from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she served the last year as the assistant director of compliance.

"Ms Best brings a great energy and a strong foundation in both compliance and student-athlete support," Jackson said. "We're excited to welcome her to Christian Brothers University. Her experience and passion for serving student-athletes make her a tremendous addition to our team."

During her time with the Mocs, she became versed in the evolving daily needs of the industry, assisting in all elements of NCAA Division I athletics compliance practices. In addition to overseeing eligibility check lists, transcript evaluations and team rosters, she helped student-athletes with the transfer portal and managed NIL compliance, including use of student-athletes' Opendorse websites. She also managed recruitment reporting and was responsible for monitoring violations. She supervised all departmental interns.

A native of Rydal, Georgia, Best began her career serving as a compliance intern at AUM. After earning her degree in kinesiology in 2023, she was hired by her alma mater as a compliance and event operations assistant. She helped spearhead community service and outreach for the Warhawks, served as a game day administrator for tennis and conducted hiring processes for student workers. She also gained athletics operations experience from 2016-2021 working with Trackman Operations from Perfect Game Inc.
