Box Score CLEVELAND, MS. – The Christian Brothers University women's soccer team created opportunities throughout the match but came up short in a 7–0 setback at Delta State on Tuesday evening.
The Lady Bucs fired 9 total shots, with 5 on target, testing the Lady Statesmen defense. Madison Woolridge nearly broke through in the closing minutes with a shot to the bottom left corner that forced a save, while Cristal Tellez, Chloe May, Lara Sanchez, and Giulia Ticozelli each added shots on goal.
In goal, Kaylee Allen stayed busy all night, recording 6 saves while playing the full 90 minutes. Defensively, the Lady Bucs held strong stretches, limiting DSU's attack to only three goals in the opening half before the match opened up late.
CBU matched Delta State in discipline, drawing 14 fouls and earning 5 corner kicks, showing resilience and continued fight despite the scoreline.
The Lady Bucs will look to regroup and turn their chances into goals as Gulf South Conference play continues next week.
