Personal Records Fall as CBU Shows Speed and Depth Across the Track

Birmingham, AL- Christian Brothers turned in a productive day across the sprints, middle distance, distance, and field events, highlighted by multiple personal records and nationally ranked Division II marks.

The day opened with sharp efforts in the men's 60 meters. Terrial Griffin, a freshman, clocked 7.40 in the prelims, while senior Leburu Leburu followed with a 7.63, narrowly missing his personal best. On the women's side, seniors Madison Woolridge (8.69) and Micaiah Halliburton (8.82) delivered steady performances to kick off the meet.

In the 200 meters, freshman Yannick Daude continued to build momentum, finishing in 23.57. Woolridge doubled back on the women's side, posting a 29.65, while Halliburton crossed in 31.12.

Daude's day only improved in the 400 meters, where he ran a personal-best 50.45, one of the top marks of the meet for CBU. Davion Jones added a 56.91 in the same event, while senior Danielle Booker led the women with a 1:04.36 effort in the 400.

Middle-distance races brought consistency and control. Kylon Higgins finished the men's 800 in 2:12.86, while junior Laura De Llano paced the women's field with a 2:24.68.

The mile showcased strength on both sides. Kilian Daude ran 4:22.43, and freshman William McCollough posted a personal-record 4:50.55. On the women's side, freshman Phoebe Steel delivered one of the standout performances of the meet, running 5:17.70, a personal best that ranks No. 93 in Division II. Fellow freshman Kaley Byrd followed in 5:31.51.

Distance events capped the day with major highlights. Junior Basile Chevrel surged to a personal-best 8:28.31 in the men's 3000 meters, earning a new Division II No. 36 ranking. Erwan Rostan wasn't far behind, clocking 8:43.85, good for No. 78 in Division II, while James Holcombe finished strong in 9:05.52. Lauren Blyth represented the women in the 3000 meters, running 11:01.87.

In the field, senior Alexis Goodman cleared 1.50 meters (4-11) in the high jump. Jackelin Ruiz posted a 4.58-meter (15-0.5) mark in the long jump. On the men's side, Joshua Dabney recorded a 12.76-meter (41-10.5) throw in the shot put.

The meet closed with a strong relay showing. The men's 4x400 relay of Yannick Daude, Kylon Higgins, Terrial Griffin, and Kilian Daude combined for a 3:30.68, capping a day defined by growth, depth, and momentum heading deeper into the season.
