Huntsville, AL- Christian Brothers put together one of its most complete efforts of the season on Saturday, showing toughness on the glass and strong second-half execution in a 71–56 battle at UAH.
The Bucs found their rhythm early defensively, forcing UAH into contested looks and staying within striking distance through the opening stretch. As the game settled in, CBU's frontcourt controlled the rebounding battle, creating valuable second-chance opportunities that kept momentum alive. By night's end, the Bucs owned a dominant 42–31 edge on the boards and turned those extra possessions into 15 second-chance points.
Offensively, CBU delivered its best stretch after halftime. The Bucs shot 44% from the floor and a sharp 56% from three in the second half, moving the ball with confidence and attacking the paint. Marquis Gill caught fire and led the way with 20 points, including several timely buckets that sparked runs. Max Cain added 11 points with hustle plays around the rim, and Iman Kheirati turned in a double-double performance with 13 points and 13 rebounds, anchoring the interior on both ends.
Defensively, the Bucs limited UAH to just one second-chance point and forced eight turnovers in the second half, showing discipline and effort throughout. CBU also outscored the Chargers in second-chance points and matched their physicality inside, a promising sign as conference play continues.
While UAH maintained the lead late, the Bucs continued to respond, competing possession-by-possession and closing the game with confidence and composure. The performance highlighted growth, balance, and resilience from a group that continues to trend upward.
