Memphis, TN- Christian Brothers men's basketball dropped a close game to Mississippi College, 61–60, Tuesday night at Canale Arena. The Bucs led early and fought until the final seconds, but Mississippi College scored with four seconds left to secure the win.
CBU led 27–21 at halftime after a strong first half, but the Choctaws outscored the Bucs 40–33 in the second half to take the game. Christian Brothers shot 42.9 percent from the field and went 6-for-22 from three-point range. The Bucs also scored 14 second-chance points and 13 fast-break points in the loss.
The game featured 17 lead changes and was tied five times, showing how competitive the matchup was throughout. CBU held the lead for more than 29 minutes, but Mississippi College made key plays late to pull out the victory.
The Bucs will look to bounce back in their next game as they host UAH on Thursday February 12th @7pm.
