Memphis, TN- In a night that will be remembered in program history, Marquis Gill delivered one of the greatest scoring performances ever seen at Christian Brothers University.
Gill poured in 44 points, tying the school record for most points scored in a single game. He scored at all three levels, attacked the rim with confidence, and knocked down key shots that kept the Bucs within striking distance throughout the contest.
Gill's efficiency made the performance even more impressive. He shot the ball with control and composure, converting consistently in traffic and at the free-throw line. Every time Christian Brothers needed a basket, Gill answered. His scoring run energized the bench and the home crowd as he steadily climbed toward the historic mark.
While Gill led the scoring charge, Iman Kheirati delivered a strong all-around performance of his own. He recorded a 21-point & 20 rebound double-double, controlling the glass and finishing efficiently inside. His effort provided balance to the offense and stability in key stretches, especially when the game tightened.
While the final result did not fall in the Bucs' favor, the night belonged to Gill. Tying a long-standing record is no small feat, and his performance stands as one of the most remarkable individual efforts in Christian Brothers basketball history.
