The Christian Brothers University women's tennis team wrapped up a busy weekend on the road with matches against Texas A&M Texarkana, Ouachita Baptist, and Henderson State, gaining valuable experience and showing competitive moments across doubles and singles play.
Friday vs. Texas A&M Texarkana
CBU opened the weekend with a strong start in doubles, capturing both matches to secure the doubles point.
In singles, Raheen Taranum delivered a standout performance at No. 4 singles, winning a three-set battle in the tiebreaker, 6–1, 3–6, 10–4. The Buccaneers competed across the lineup, continuing to build match toughness against a competitive opponent.
Saturday vs. Ouachita Baptist
CBU faced a strong Ouachita Baptist squad and battled through several close contests. Valerie Neumann pushed her No. 1 singles match to a third-set tiebreaker after taking the first set, ultimately falling 7–5, 4–6, 10–6 in a hard-fought match.
In doubles, Neumann and Garcia Galvez competed at the top spot, while Dandu and Taranum gained experience at No. 2 doubles. The match provided important reps for a young Buccaneer lineup, with several spots affected by lineup depth challenges.
Saturday vs. Henderson State
Later in the weekend, CBU continued to compete against Henderson State, with Neumann again showing resilience at No. 1 singles, winning the second set after dropping the first before narrowly falling in the super tiebreak. The Buccaneers faced a tough doubles slate and continued to gain match experience across the lineup.
