Game 1: Montevallo 4, Christian Brothers 1
Christian Brothers struck first but could not keep pace as Montevallo pulled away for a 4-1 win in the series opener.
The Bucs grabbed an early lead in the first inning when Isaac Lemanski reached on an error, allowing Brayden Basey to score. The advantage was short-lived, as Evan Radford answered in the bottom half with a two-run home run to put Montevallo in front.
Christian Brothers managed six hits on the night, with Lemanski collecting two, but the offense stalled after the opening frame. Montevallo added to its lead with a sacrifice fly in the sixth and an RBI single in the seventh.
Kade Johnson worked six innings on the mound, allowing three runs while keeping the Bucs within reach, but the offense could not generate enough support late.
Game 2: Montevallo 10, Christian Brothers 7
A high-scoring middle game saw Christian Brothers battle back multiple times, but Montevallo's early surge proved too much in a 10-7 decision.
The Falcons opened with five runs across the first two innings, highlighted by a four-run first. Christian Brothers responded in the third when Zowen Collins launched a solo home run, then added two more in the fifth on his second homer of the day to cut into the deficit.
Collins finished with a standout performance, going 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs. Nick Petruzzello added a two-run single in the sixth, helping the Bucs close the gap to 9-5.
Despite outscoring Montevallo over the final innings, including runs in the eighth and ninth, Christian Brothers could not fully recover from the early deficit. The Falcons totaled 19 hits.
Game 3: Montevallo 5, Christian Brothers 4
Christian Brothers put together its strongest offensive inning of the series but came up just short in a 5-4 loss in the finale.
After falling behind 1-0, the Bucs erupted for four runs in the fourth inning. RBI hits from Nick Petruzzello, Shahkai Matthews, Jordan Rodriguez, and Brayden Basey flipped the game and gave Christian Brothers a 4-1 lead.
Montevallo chipped away with a sacrifice fly in the sixth before delivering the decisive blow in the seventh, as Hollon Brock connected on a three-run home run to reclaim the lead at 5-4.
The Bucs finished with 11 hits, including multi-hit efforts from Basey, Matthews, and Lucas Franz. Cameron Olivo kept Montevallo in check through five innings, allowing just one run, but the late swing shifted momentum for good.
