Senior Night Sparks Late Magic as Bucs Close Season with Thrilling Series Finale Win

Game 1: Union Pulls Away Despite Late Push from Bucs

On Senior Night, Christian Brothers battled but ultimately fell 11-5 to Union (Tenn.) in the series opener.

Union struck early and consistently, plating runs in five different innings, including a two-run home run from Nick Stamper in the second that set the tone. The Bulldogs built a 7-1 lead through six innings and added four more in the eighth to create separation.

The Bucs showed fight late in front of the home crowd. A four-run eighth inning brought life back into the game, highlighted by a three-RBI double from Zowen Collins and an RBI sacrifice fly from Isaac Lemanski. Despite the rally, the early deficit proved too much to overcome.

Christian Brothers finished with nine hits, including multi-hit efforts from Collins and Nick Petruzzello, but were hurt by three defensive errors and 13 strikeouts at the plate.

Game 2: Explosive Fourth Inning Powers Bucs to Statement Win

Christian Brothers responded in a big way in Game 2, erupting for 11 runs in the fourth inning on their way to a dominant 15-5 victory.

After trailing 3-0 early, the Bucs began to chip away in the third before delivering one of their most explosive innings of the season. The fourth inning saw contributions up and down the lineup, including key hits from Jackson Licata, Ivan Zambrano, Isaac Lemanski, and Shahkai Matthews.

Lemanski led the offensive charge, going 3-for-4 with four RBIs, including a two-run home run in the fifth. Zambrano added three hits and three RBIs, while Licata drove in four runs of his own.

On the mound, Charlie Faoro went the distance, allowing five runs while striking out seven to secure the win.

The 15-run performance marked one of the team's most complete offensive showings of the season and evened the series heading into the finale.

Game 3: Bucs Rally Late to Win Season Finale in Senior Night Thriller

In the final game of the season, Christian Brothers delivered a memorable sendoff, rallying for an 8-7 win to close the year on a high note.

Union once again applied pressure early, building a 7-4 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh. But with their season on the line, the Bucs responded with a clutch four-run inning.

Patience at the plate played a key role, as the Bucs drew 10 walks in the game. Zowen Collins, Patrick Mangels, and Jackson Licata each drove in runs during the ??????? rally, while Shahkai Matthews capped it with a sacrifice fly that proved to be the game-winner.

Mangels had a standout performance, going 3-for-3 with three RBIs, while Will Gossett crossed the plate three times.

On the mound, William Norris shut the door in relief, tossing 2.2 scoreless innings with three strikeouts to secure the victory.

In front of a Senior Night crowd, the Bucs showed grit and composure, finishing the season with a comeback win that reflected their fight all year long.
