Late Surge Seals Series Sweep for Mississippi College

Game 1: Buccaneers' Early Lead Slips Away Late

Christian Brothers (7-24-1, 2-16) built a 3-0 lead but couldn't hold off a sixth-inning surge in an 8-5 loss.

The Buccaneers struck in the fourth as Abby Drabek drove in a run and Ashley Williamson added an RBI walk. Mackenzie Gieseler extended the lead with an RBI single in the fifth.

After falling behind, Christian Brothers answered in the sixth when Kate Candies delivered a two-RBI single to pull within one. Marin Beeson added two hits as the Buccaneers finished with nine, but the comeback came up short.

Game 2: Strong Start Not Enough in Game Two Loss

Christian Brothers (7-25-1, 2-17) scored early but couldn't keep pace in a 14-2 defeat.

Mandie Barrow put the Buccaneers on the board with an RBI double in the first, and Abby Drabek added an RBI single in the third.

Mackenzie Gieseler led the offense with a perfect 3-for-3 day, while Barrow added two hits. Christian Brothers totaled 10 hits but couldn't slow the opposition late.

Game 3: Buccaneers Fall Just Short in Tight Finale

Christian Brothers (7-26-1, 2-18) battled throughout but dropped a close 4-3 decision.

Mackenzie Gieseler opened the scoring with an RBI double in the third. In the fourth, Dakota Davis and Katelyn Harmon delivered back-to-back RBI hits to give the Buccaneers a brief lead.

Gieseler finished with two hits, while Davis and Harmon each drove in runs. Despite a strong effort, Christian Brothers couldn't stop the go-ahead run in the seventh.
