Big Game Two Powers CBU, But Mississippi College Takes Series

Game 1: Mississippi College 3, Christian Brothers 2

Christian Brothers nearly rallied late but fell just short in a 3–2 loss to open the series.

Mississippi College built a 3–0 lead early, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Jake LaRocca in the third inning. CBU struggled offensively against a strong outing from Caleb Peterson, who struck out 11.

The Buccaneers made things interesting in the seventh, as Isaac Lemanski and Zowen Collins each drove in runs to cut the deficit to one. However, the comeback stalled, leaving the tying run just out of reach.

Game 2: Christian Brothers 11, Mississippi College 1

CBU responded in a big way in Game 2, erupting for 11 runs on 13 hits to even the series.

A five-run fifth inning flipped the game, with Ivan Zambrano delivering a two-RBI single and Shahkai Matthews driving in a run. Isaac Lemanski led the offense with three hits, including a two-run home run.

On the mound, Charlie Faoro was solid, allowing just one run over six innings as the Buccaneers cruised to the win.

Game 3: Mississippi College 13, Christian Brothers 6

In the finale, Mississippi College used a big second inning and late surge to secure a 13–6 win.

CBU kept pace early with RBIs from Brayden Basey, Zowen Collins, and Jordan Rodriguez, but defensive errors and walks allowed Mississippi College to pull away.

The Buccaneers finished with 13 hits, led by Basey and Rodriguez with three each, but could not overcome the early deficit as they dropped the series.
