Buccaneers Continue Early-Season Road Swing at North Georgia

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Christian Brothers University men's soccer continued its challenging early-season road schedule on Saturday, falling 4-1 to North Georgia at the UNG Soccer Complex.

The Buccaneers moved to 0-2 on the young season following the non-conference matchup. CBU finished with five shots and six corner kicks while continuing to give several players valuable minutes early in the campaign.

North Georgia took an early advantage with a goal in the fourth minute before extending its lead to 2-0 in the 32nd minute. The Nighthawks added another goal late in the opening half to take a 3-0 advantage into the break.

CBU continued to battle and was rewarded in the second half.

David Hoti put the Buccaneers on the scoreboard in the 63rd minute, recording his first goal of the season and cutting into the North Georgia advantage. Hoti made an impact off the bench and finished with CBU's lone goal on his only shot of the contest.

The Buccaneers continued working for opportunities throughout the second half before North Georgia added the final goal of the contest in the 89th minute.

Despite the result, the early non-conference schedule gives CBU an opportunity to continue building chemistry and gaining experience before Gulf South Conference play. The Buccaneers will look to take lessons from the opening road contests as they continue through the early portion of the 2026 campaign.
