Memphis, TN — Christian Brothers University played through 90 minutes Wednesday evening but fell to Montevallo, 4-0, at Signaigo Field.
Montevallo opened the scoring just over five minutes into the match. The Falcons added two more goals late in the first half to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
CBU continued to play in the second half, putting together several attacking opportunities while goalkeeper Kaylee Allen kept the Bucs in the match with a strong performance in goal. Allen finished with 10 saves, including six in the second half.
Montevallo added its fourth goal in the 62nd minute to complete the scoring.
The Bucs finished with eight shots, including five on goal. Julia Brandao recorded two shots on goal, while Frida Bergqvist and Karis Klindtworth also recorded shots for CBU.
Christian Brothers will look to regroup and return to action in its next contest.
