Memphis, TN- The Christian Brothers University men's cross country team put together a tightly grouped performance in the four-mile race, with the Buccaneers' top five runners finishing less than a minute apart.
Sophomore William McCollough led CBU, finishing 97th overall with a time of 22:06.95. Freshman Ryan Cabreira was right behind him, taking 98th in 22:08.82, less than two seconds behind McCollough.
Junior Jannik Harms was the third Buccaneer across the line, finishing 110th in 22:31.02. Freshman Migual Cantarero followed in 117th with a time of 22:48.21, while senior Thomas Saunders completed CBU's top five in 121st at 22:56.10.
The Buccaneers' top five were separated by just 49.15 seconds, giving CBU a strong pack to build around moving forward.
Senior Robert Richardson finished in 25:39.94, while freshman William Barnett crossed immediately behind him in 25:40.77.
With multiple freshmen contributing and a tightly packed top five, the Buccaneers will look to continue improving as the season progresses.
