Sherman Edgerson is in his fifth year as an assistant baseball coach for the Christian Brothers University baseball program, and his second under head coach, Lee Parks.Â
Edgerson served two years as head baseball coach at Ridgeway high school.Â
After graduating from John McDonogh High School in New Orleans, Edgerson served in the United States Navy, serving on the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, which was the first carrier to launch airstrikes in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. He earned captain awards and scored in the 99th percentile on the Signalman Navy Exam. He served overseas on three tours as Petty Officer of the ship's navigation department. He was one of two master helmsmen aboard the ship.
In addition to his high school and college experience, Edgerson also directed numerous 13-U to 16-U competitive teams for the Mississippi Chaos from 2011-15. Â
The New Orleans native, is an American Sports and Fitness Certified Personal Trainer and a certified Dietetics Preceptor.
