Clint Browne enters his 15th season as the all-time winningest men's soccer coach at CBU. Under Browne's leadership, the Bucs are 73-18-12 in Gulf South Conference play.
He led the Bucs to back-to-back Gulf South Conference championships (2011-12) and two NCAA South Regional appearances.
Browne, a two-time NSCAA South Region Coach of the Year and a three-time GSC Coach of the Year, has coached 60 All-GSC players.
Browne previously served as the head coach at Lambuth University in Jackson, Tenn.. At Lambuth, he guided the team to a 22-13-4 record over two seasons finishing 14-4-2 last season and was ranked as high as No. 16 nationally in the NAIA poll. The ranking was the first-ever time the soccer program had been ranked in school history.
In his stint at Lambuth, Browne had two players named All-American and four named Academic All-American. He was named the Mid-South Conference Coach of the Year last season as well as the Region Coach of the Year.
Browne served as Assistant Coach for Memphis' women's soccer program from 1999-2000 helping to lead the team to it's second-most successful season ever. He was in charge of setting and running practices. Prior to that, he served as an assistant coach at CBU under Gareth O'Sullivan during the 1998 and 1999 seasons and was an assistant with the Memphis men's team during the 1995-1996 seasons.
A 1995 graduate of the University of Memphis, Browne led the Tigers to their first NCAA Tournament appearance in 1993, serving as a team captain that season. The team shared the Conference Championship with Saint Louis twice during his tenure. Browne played on two Tennessee Under-23 Olympic Development Teams that advanced to the national finals in Washington and New York State.
Browne played professionally for the New Orleans Riverboat Gamblers from 1995-97 serving as team captain each year. He also played a season in the Irish Premier League for the Sligo Rovers in 1997-98.
A native of Birmingham, England, Browne married the former Kemm McDonald in March 2005. The couple has two daughters.
