Lady Bucs Put Away Tigers 72-56

Tanaeya Worden had game-highs of 23 points, five steals, and two blocks as the Lady Bucs rolled to a 72-56 win over West Alabama Tuesday night.
Box Score MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs seized control with a 24-6 second-half run on their way to a 72-56 win over visiting West Alabama Tuesday night at Canale Arena.

After leading most of the first half, the Lady Bucs (4-3) trailed 43-40 with 15:38 remaining as West Alabama (2-6) forward Valerie Harris converted a three-point play.  The Lady Bucs went to Sheena DeBose (Tunica, Miss./Rosa Fort HS) for back-to-back layups, sparking what would eventually be a 24-6 run that left the Lady Bucs with a 64-49 lead inside the last five minutes.

Tanaeya Worden (Sioux City, Iowa/Sioux City North HS) led the way with 23 points, five steals, and two blocks.  Michelle Malone (Millington, Tenn./Millington HS) scored 16, while Tameka Wooten (Cordova, Tenn./Cordova HS) added 10.

Harris led the Tigers with 20 points, while Keiara Middleton added 10 off the bench.

The Lady Bucs will be back in action Saturday night at 5 p.m. as they visit LeMoyne-Owen.
