DECATUR, Ala.—No. 15 Barry scored a goal in each half to take a 2-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Bucs Friday night at Jack Allen Park.
Barry (5-0) scored in the eighth minute as Mark Anderson scored on a free kick. The game remained at 1-0 until the 86th minute, when Barry scored on an empty-net breakaway after the Bucs (2-2-1) brought senior goalkeeper
Daniel Foster (Gallatin, Tenn./Gallatin HS) up to take a free kick. Barry gained possession, and Ricardo Ramirez beat Foster back down the field to score the game-clincher.
Both teams took nine shots, with CBU holding a 6-4 advantage in shots on goal. Barry keeper Devala Gorrick made five saves, while Foster made two for the Bucs.
The Bucs will take on another Sunshine State Conference foe Sunday at noon as they face Eckerd, also at Decatur's Jack Allen Park.
