No. 20 Golden Suns Shut Down Lady Bucs 59-44

Tanaeya Worden scored a game-high 13 points, but the Lady Bucs lost 59-44 at No. 20 Arkansas Tech.
Box Score RUSSELLVILLE, Ark.—No. 20 Arkansas Tech held the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs under 30 percent from the field as they won 59-44 Saturday afternoon in Gulf South Conference West Division action.

After CBU (8-12, 1-6 GSC West) scored first, the Golden Suns (15-5, 5-2) used a 16-2 run to take a 12-point lead.  The Lady Bucs never came closer than 12 points again.

Tanaeya Worden (Sioux City, Iowa/Sioux City North HS) scored a game-high 13 to lead the Lady Bucs, who shot just 29.8 percent (17-of-57), including a season-low 4.8 percent (1-of-21) from three-point range.

Amanda Grappe and Brittany Gottsponer led the Golden Suns with 12 points each.

The Lady Bucs come home Thursday night at 5 p.m. as they host Arkansas-Monticello.
