Box Score MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs out-scored visiting Alabama-Huntsville 48-27 in the second half to blow open what had been a close game as they rolled to a 78-55 win in their final tune-up before beginning Gulf South Conference West Division play this weekend.

Sheena DeBose (Tunica, Miss./Rosa Fort HS) layup with 14 seconds remaining in the first half gave the Lady Bucs (7-6) a 30-28 lead after a first half that featured 10 lead changes and eight ties. From there, CBU steadily increased its lead throughout the second half, never allowing the Lady Chargers (3-11) to come within single digits after the 11-minute mark.
Tanaeya Worden (Sioux City, Iowa/Sioux City North HS) turned in a career-high 26 points with four steals, while
Kat Butler (Nashville, Tenn./Brentwood HS) had 13 points and seven assists, her second-highest tallies of the season in both categories.
Crystal Shelton (Nashville, Tenn./Hume Fogg) posted her second straight double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds as she moved into ninth place on CBU's career scoring list with 1,157 points. Butler also moved into ninth place on the career assist leaderboard with 222.
Stephanie Gehlhausen led UAH with 13 points.
The Lady Bucs converted a 24-10 turnover advantage into a 25-11 edge in points off turnovers as they took 19 more shots than the Lady Chargers for the game. CBU was 26-of-72 (36.1 percent) to UAH's 19-of-53 (35.8 percent). UAH out-rebounded the Lady Bucs 47-41, but CBU held a 22-18 advantage on the offensive boards.
The Lady Bucs will open GSC West play Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. as they visit Arkansas-Monticello.
