Lady Bisons Pull Away From Lady Bucs

Tanaeya Worden scored 18 points, but the Lady Bucs lost 72-57 Thursday night at Harding.
Box Score SEARCY, Ark.—Host Harding went on a 20-4 run sandwiching the halftime break as they pulled away for a 72-57 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Thursday night.

Lindsey Root scored 17 of her game-high 19 points in the first half as she helped the Lady Bisons (19-6, 5-6 GSC West) stretch out an 18-point lead in the final seconds of the first half.  The Lady Bucs (8-16, 1-10) never came closer than 15 points again.

Tanaeya Worden (Sioux City, Iowa/Sioux City North HS) scored 18 points to lead the Lady Bucs, while Erin Nigh (Morristown, Ind./Morristown HS) and Sheena DeBose (Tunica, Miss./Rosa Fort HS) scored 10 points each.

Root scored her 19 points on a perfect night of shooting, making seven field goals, three from three-point range, and she was also 2-for-2 from three-point range.

The Lady Bucs will return to the court Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. as they host Henderson State for homecoming.
