Box Score MEMPHIS—Visiting Arkansas-Monticello moved into a tie for first place in the Gulf South Conference West Division as they held off a late Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs rally for an 81-72 win Thursday night at Canale Arena.

The Cotton Blossoms (15-4, 7-1 GSC West) scored the game's first eight points on their way to a 17-5 lead in the first seven minutes, but the Lady Bucs (8-13, 1-7) went on a 15-6 run to cut the lead back to three at 23-20.

UAM regained control, stretching their lead to 20 when a Taylor Clark layup with 12:01 remaining in the game put them in front 61-41, but a 16-2 CBU run capped by back-to-back threes from Kat Butler (Nashville, Tenn./Brentwood HS) and Erin Nigh (Morristown, Ind./Morristown HS) cut the lead back to 63-57 with 6:38 remaining, but the Lady Bucs came no closer as they dropped their fourth straight.

Tanaeya Worden (Sioux City, Iowa/Sioux City North HS) led the Lady Bucs with 18 points, five assists, and three steals.  Butler also had five assists to go with 16 points, and Sheena DeBose (Tunica, Miss./Rosa Fort HS) scored 14 points with seven rebounds.

Erika Brown paced UAM with 33 points and 12 rebounds, while Monica Perkins-Miller also turned in a double-double with 10 points and 16 rebounds.  Andrea Dubose added 15.
