Lady Bucs Rally Past Lady Tigers 3-2

Jennifer Hale scored the game-winning goal in the 85th minute to cap the Lady Bucs' 3-2 comeback win at Ouachita Baptist.
ARKADELPHIA, Ark.—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs scored three goals in the final 30 minutes to rally from a two-goal deficit and win 3-2 at Ouachita Baptist Saturday afternoon to even their Gulf South Conference record at 2-2.

Ouachita (6-7-2, 1-4-1 GSC) took an early lead as Morgan Pitchford scored in the 11th minute.  The score stayed 1-0 until the 57th minute, when OBU's Beth Wendl tacked on another score to put the Lady Bucs in a 2-0 hole.

The Lady Bucs (9-4, 2-2) finally answered in the 61st minute as Lauren Browning (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) tapped in a Sarah Catherine Ryan (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) cross after a Ryan breakaway.  Browning set up Lauren Quinones (Melbourne, Fla./West Shore HS) in the 72nd minute with a cross, allowing Quinones to score the tying goal.  In the 85th minute, Quinones found Jennifer Hale (Bartlett, Tenn./St. Benedict HS), who scored the game-winner for her first goal of the season.

OBU out-shot the Lady Bucs 16-10 for the game, including a 9-8 lead in shots on goal, but Libby Hake (Fort Wayne, Ind./Canterbury HS) made seven saves for the Lady Bucs.

The Lady Bucs have the week off, returning home Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. to take on Harding in a key GSC contest.
