PENSACOLA, Fla.—No. 20 West Florida scored twice in each half as they cruised to a 4-0 victory over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs to remain in first place in the Gulf South Conference.
The Argos (9-2-0, 2-0-0 GSC) out-shot the Lady Bucs 27-3 for the game. A game after setting a school record with 12 saves Tuesday at North Alabama,
Libby Hake (Fort Wayne, Ind./Canterbury HS) made 11, but it wasn't enough against the Argos.
Reigning Daktronics Division II National Player of the Year Shakira Duncan struck first in the 24th minute to put the Argos in front. Kaitlyn Kutemeyer scored in the 44th minute and again in the 58th minute, and Duncan set the final margin with an 81st-minute strike.
The Lady Bucs (7-4-1, 1-2-0) come home Wednesday to take on Central Baptist at 5 p.m.
