Lady Bucs Outlast Falcons 1-0

Lauren Browning scored the golden goal in the 95th minute to lift the Lady Bucs to a 1-0 win over Montevallo Tuesday night.
MEMPHIS—Freshman midfielder Lauren Browning (Memphis, Tenn., St. Agnes Academy) scored the game-winning goal in the 95th minute to lift the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs to a South Region victory over Montevallo Tuesday night.

After 90 minutes of a dead heat, with both teams taking seven shots, the Lady Bucs (4-2) claimed the win with Browning's golden goal, capitalizing on a pass from Anna Laskarzewska (Edmonton, Alberta/Archbishop O'Leary) for her third goal of the year.

Libby Hake (Fort Wayne, Ind./Canterbury HS) made three saves as she picked up her third shutout of the season.

The Lady Bucs hit the road Friday as they visit Lambuth at 4 p.m.  Their next home game is a non-conference tilt with Ouachita Baptist Sunday, Oct. 3, at 2:30 p.m.
