CLEVELAND, Miss.—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs scored once in each half as they won 2-0 at Delta State Wednesday afternoon in their Gulf South Conference opener.
The Lady Bucs (6-2, 1-0 GSC) scored the only goal they would need in the 34th minute as
Roma Rozanska (Edmonton, Alberta/Archbishop O'Leary HS) headed a ball across the line despite the effort of DSU (3-7, 0-3) keeper Megan Galloway.
Allison Tutt (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) set the final margin with a 73rd-minute goal.
Libby Hake (Fort Wayne, Ind./Canterbury HS) made seven saves as she logged the Lady Bucs' third straight clean sheet. The Lady Bucs out-shot DSU 13-8, with each team taking seven shots on goal.
The Lady Bucs take on Ouachita Baptist Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in a non-conference game at Signaigo Field.
