Box Score MEMPHIS—Harding used a 19-0 run over an eight-minute span early in the first half to pull away on their way to an 82-54 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Tuesday night at Canale Arena.
The Lady Bisons (2-0) opened the scoring with an Arielle Saunders three-pointer, and a
Jasmine Ellis (Memphis, Tenn./Central HS) three-point play for the Lady Bucs (0-2) knotted the game at 3 just under two minutes into the game. Back-to-back baskets by Sierra Rollins started the run, and when Katy Preaus made a layup and a three-pointer to end the run, Harding led 22-3 with 9:55 remaining in the first half, and the Lady Bucs never came closer than 17 points again.
Jessica Green (Memphis, Tenn./Lausanne HS) paced the Lady Bucs with 12 points, while Ellis scored 11 with 10 rebounds.
Deshelle Isaac-Boyce scored 14 points with four steals and two assists in just 13 minutes to lead Harding. Shana Holmes added 11.
The Lady Bucs shot just 28.8 percent (19-of-66) from the floor to Harding's 53.6 percent (30-of-56). The Lady Bucs were a perfect 11-of-11 at the free throw line. Harding out-rebounded the Lady Bucs 41-36 and forced 20 CBU turnovers while committing 18.
The Lady Bucs return to action Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. as they host Lane.
