Box Score ST. LOUIS, Mo.—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs scored a season-low 37 points Saturday in a 55-37 loss at Missouri-St. Louis Saturday afternoon.

Both teams struggled from the floor throughout the game, shooting well under 40 percent.  While UMSL (3-1) never trailed, their lead never grew beyond seven points in the first half.  A Candis Clear (Memphis, Tenn./East HS) jumper at the beginning of the second half pulled the Lady Bucs (1-4) within a 23-19 margin, but UMSL went on a 12-0 run to pull away quickly.

The Tritons' defense held the Lady Bucs scoreless for more than seven minutes after Clear's basket, and they held CBU without a basket from the field for nearly nine minutes as they stretched their lead to 39-21 on a Kiki Robinson layup with 11:23 remaining.  The Lady Bucs never came closer than 15 points again.

Jasmine Ellis (Memphis, Tenn./Central HS) scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Lady Bucs in both categories.  Aramis Judson (Bristow, Va./Stonewall Jackson HS) added nine points.

Devonna Smith led the Tritons with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while Caitlyn Moody also scored 14.

The Lady Bucs shot 33.3 percent (16-of-48) from the floor to the Tritons' 36.1 percent (22-of-61).  UMSL held a commanding 46-31 rebound edge and forced 16 CBU turnovers while committing 15.

The Lady Bucs return home Tuesday night at 5 p.m. as they host No. 3 Arkansas Tech.
