Lady Bisons Top Lady Bucs 74-56

Breanna Ridgell scored 12 points in the Lady Bucs' 74-56 loss at Harding Tuesday night.
Box Score SEARCY, Ark.—Host Harding opened up a double-digit lead late in the first half and never let the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs back in the game in a 74-56 win Tuesday night.

The Lady Bisons (4-2) never trailed, but their lead was trimmed to 9-8 after an Aramis Judson (Bristow, Va./Stonewall Jackson HS) bucket with 12:50 remaining in the opening half.  Harding took control for good with a 16-4 run, started by four straight points by Sierra Rollins and ended with five straight from Montana Lewis.  The Lady Bucs never came closer than 10 points again.

Taylor Pugh (Memphis, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) scored 13 points for the Lady Bucs (2-6) as she made her college debut after missing the first seven games with a hand injury.  Breanna Ridgell (Memphis, Tenn./White Station HS) scored a dozen, while Jasmine Ellis (Memphis, Tenn./Central HS) had eight points and nine rebounds.

Lewis paced the Lady Bisons with 22 points in 26 minutes off the bench, and Rollins scored 17 points with 10 rebounds.

The Lady Bucs shot 31.5 percent (17-of-54) from the floor to Harding's 39.1 percent (25-of-64).  Harding out-rebounded the Lady Bucs 44-35 and forced 23 turnovers while committing 21.

The Lady Bucs renew another former GSC West Division rivalry Thursday night when they visit Arkansas-Monticello at 5:30 p.m.  Their next home game is set for Friday night, Dec. 16, at 5 p.m. against Freed-Hardeman.
