Box Score MEMPHIS—The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs edged Arkansas-Monticello 64-56 Thursday night for their first Gulf South Conference West Division win of the season.

The game was back and forth throughout, with six ties, 11 lead changes, and neither team taking a lead of more than eight points.  UAM (6-14, 2-6 GSC West) provided the game's final tie with 1:56 remaining when a Jerica Hubbard jumper knotted the game at 53.  Normanique Johnson (Olive Branch, Miss./Olive Branch HS) put the Lady Bucs ahead for good on a free throw with 1:28 to play, and a Casey Gregory (Memphis, Tenn./White Station HS) layup with 1:13 remaining put CBU ahead 56-53.

The Lady Bucs led 59-56 with 10 seconds remaining after a Marissa Stewart (Atlanta, Ga./Arlington Christian HS) free throw.  UAM's Chelsea Johnson was whistled for a travel with 1.8 seconds remaining.  After UAM fouled Stewart again with one second remaining, a pair of technicals were called on the UAM bench.  Johnson and Stewart combined to make five of the ensuing six free throws to set the final margin.

Johnson scored a game-high 18 points with six rebounds and four assists.  Gregory added 10 points and 12 rebounds for her second straight double-double, while Briley Milfeld (Farmington, Mo./Farmington HS) and Jessica Green (Memphis, Tenn./Lausanne HS) scored nine points each.

Alex Hart paced UAM with 16 points.  Channon Haywood scored 14, and Hubbard grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds to go with seven points and three steals.

The Lady Bucs have a week off before they return to the court next Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. when they visit No. 5 Arkansas Tech.  They return home Saturday, Feb. 12, for Homecoming as they take on Henderson State at 2 p.m.
