Lady Bucs Blank Lyon 1-0

Allison Tutt's 65th-minute goal lifted the Lady Bucs to a 1-0 win at Lyon in their season opener Friday night.
Box Score BATESVILLE, Ark.—Two freshmen and a sophomore provided the spark as the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs opened their 2011 campaign with a 1-0 win at Lyon Friday night.

In the 65th minute, freshman Alex Bickenbach (Memphis, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) broke through and put a shot on target.  Lyon (1-2) keeper Stephanie Spiteri turned the shot aside, but sophomore Allison Tutt (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) buried the rebound in the back of the net for the game's only goal, giving the Lady Bucs (1-0) a win in their first road game of the season for the third straight year.

Tutt's strike was enough to give Robyn Wade (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) the victory in her college debut after redshirting last fall.  Wade made seven saves to record the clean sheet.

The Lady Bucs return to action Sunday at noon as they host Thomas at Signaigo Field.
