Blazers Outlast Lady Bucs 1-0 in OT

Robyn Wade made 10 more saves, but the Lady Bucs dropped a 1-0 overtime decision to Valdosta State Friday.
Box Score VALDOSTA, Ga.—For the fourth time in the last six games, the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs went to overtime Friday as they dropped a 1-0 decision at Valdosta State in the Gulf South Conference opener for both schools.

Robyn Wade (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) turned in another exceptional performance for the Lady Bucs (3-2-2, 0-1 GSC), making four saves in the first half and six more in the second half to keep the Lady Bucs in the game until VSU (5-2, 1-0) won it when Arielle Sabina finished on a Margaret Stauffer penalty kick in the 96th minute.

For the game, the Lady Bucs were out-shot 23-6, including an 11-1 margin in shots on goal.  Allison Tutt (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) took three of the Lady Bucs' six shots.

The Lady Bucs take on West Georgia Sunday at noon in another GSC contest.  Their next home game is set for Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 5 p.m. against Northeastern State.
