Lady Chargers Edge Lady Bucs 2-1

Jennifer Hale scored an 85th-minute goal in the Lady Bucs' 2-1 loss at Alabama-Huntsville Friday afternoon.
Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala.—Host Alabama-Huntsville scored two goals early in the second half and held on for a 2-1 Gulf South Conference win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Friday afternoon.

The Lady Chargers (7-8, 3-4 GSC) struck first in the 48th minute, when Trisha Ehrhardt finished a Cady Reisman cross to put UAH on the board.  In the 59th minute, Reisman found Sydnie Fiocca for what proved to be the game-winning goal.  The Lady Bucs (5-7, 1-5) cut the deficit in half in the 85th minute when Jennifer Hale (Bartlett, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) scored on a penalty, but they were unable to score an equalizer in the final five minutes.

The Lady Bucs out-shot UAH 13-10 for the game, including a 6-5 edge in shots on goal, but Iris Gunnarsdottir made five saves to earn the win.

The Lady Bucs come home Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. to take on Union.
