Lions Blank Lady Bucs 2-0

Libby Hake made four saves, but the Lady Bucs dropped a 2-0 decision to North Alabama.
Box Score MEMPHIS—Visiting North Alabama claimed a 2-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Wednesday night in a Gulf South Conference game that was called due to weather in the 79th minute.

The Lions (9-4-1, 4-2-1 GSC) struck first in the eighth minute, when Chloe Roberts scored from the top of the box after a failed clearance attempt.  In the 66th minute, Roberts sent a corner kick to the back post for Jennifer Osmond, who fired it into the net for the game's final goal.

Libby Hake (Fort Wayne, Ind./Canterbury HS) made four saves to keep the Lady Bucs within striking distance.

Officials halted the game was halted with 11:27 remaining, when lightning encroached upon the field and Shelby County was placed under a tornado warning.  The game was called after a 40-minute delay when it became clear the game could not resume by the NCAA cutoff time of 9 p.m., three hours after kickoff.
