Wolves Top Lady Bucs 69-54

Jessica Green scored a game-high 18 points, but host West Georgia knocked off the Lady Bucs 69-54 Saturday afternoon.
Box Score CARROLLTON, Ga.—Host West Georgia held the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs to 32.7 percent shooting in a 69-54 win over the Lady Bucs Saturday afternoon.

After the teams were tied at 12 after 13 minutes, the Wolves (9-13, 4-6 GSC) went on a 14-0 run to take control, and the Lady Bucs never came closer than eight points again.

Jessica Green (Memphis, Tenn./Lausanne HS) scored a game-high 18 points off the bench, making 6-of-11 three-pointers.  Adrienne McKay (Olive Branch, Miss./Briarcrest Christian HS) added eight points and five assists, while Jasmine Ellis (Memphis, Tenn./Central HS) had seven points and eight rebounds.

Krystal Delph led the Wolves with 15 points, six rebounds, and four assists, and Shunice Hardy scored 14.  Breonna Mosley added 11.

The Wolves shot 42.6 percent (23-of-54) for the game, including 47.1 percent (8-of-17) from three-point range.  The Lady Bucs were 32.7 percent (17-of-52) for the game as a whole after shooting just 22.6 percent (7-of-31) in the first half.  The Lady Bucs out-rebounded UWG 35-34, including an 11-9 edge in offensive boards, but they committed 23 turnovers to the Wolves' 16.

The Lady Bucs wrap up their three-game road trip Thursday night at 6 p.m. when they visit North Alabama.  Their final home game of the season will be Sunday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. against Alabama-Huntsville.
