No. 23 Lady Flames Top Lady Bucs 7-1

Chelsea Cassacia scored CBU's only goal in a 7-1 loss at No. 23 Lee Friday night.
Box Score CLEVELAND, Tenn.-No. 23 Lee scored six unanswered goals to pull away to a 7-1 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Friday night.

The Lady Flames (8-3, 5-1 GSC) struck first in just the fifth minute as Summer Lanter scored off the rebound of her own blocked shot. Chelsea Cassacia (Germantown, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) answered in the eighth minute, putting the Lady Bucs (9-3-2, 3-2-1) on the board when she headed in a corner kick from Camilla Rodrigues (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School).

It was all Lee for the final 80 minutes, however. Ode Fulutudilu scored on a breakaway in the 13th minute to put Lee ahead, and Leah Fortune tacked on a free kick goal in the 27th minute. Four different players scored in the second half, including a second goal from Fortune.

Lee out-shot the Lady Bucs 20-5 for the game, including an 11-2 lead in shots on goal.

The Lady Bucs return to action Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. as they host Shorter.
