Box Score PENSACOLA, Fla.-No. 3 West Florida scored twice in each half to claim a 4-0 win over the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Sunday in the Gulf South Conference championship game.
After 34 scoreless minutes, the Argos (14-0-3) broke through as Alex Pickrell scored unassisted in the 35th minute on a loose ball in the box after CBU (13-5-2) couldn't clear the ball after a UWF counterattack. They added another in the 42nd minute as Kaitlyn Culotta scored on a rebound after a corner kick.
They added two more goals four minutes apart in the second half. Shelby Bush headed in a Chelsea Palmer cross in the 73rd minute, and Bush and Sara Helgadottir fed Emily Vogler on a double-assist for the final goal.
The Argos outshot the Lady Bucs 20-7 for the game, including a 10-3 edge in shots on goal.
Robyn Wade (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) made six saves for the Lady Bucs.

CBU entered the week ranked seventh in the NCAA Division II South Region Rankings. They will find out their fate in the NCAA Selection Show tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m.
