Box Score MEMPHIS-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs used a 32-4 run over an 11-minute stretch bridging the halftime break as they cruised to a 75-37 win over visiting Lane Saturday afternoon at Canale Arena.

Lane (0-1) took an early 4-2 lead, but the Lady Bucs (2-0) answered with three straight Breanna Ridgell (Memphis, Tenn./White Station HS) buckets and never trailed again. A pair of April Bonner (Memphis, Tenn./Kirby HS) baskets gave CBU a 27-16 lead with 6:46 remaining in the first half. After Lane's Tiffany Martin answered with a basket, the Lady Bucs went on the run that put it out of reach.

Erica Burgess (Memphis, Tenn./Central HS) sank a free throw to spark the 32-4 burst with 5:49 remaining in the first half. When she scored on a fastbreak layup with 14:57 remaining, the Lady Bucs led 59-22 and Lane would never come closer than 33 points again, with CBU leading by as many as 42 points in the final minutes.

Ridgell scored a game-high 19 to lead the Lady Bucs, while Burgess scored 16. Bonner added 12 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.

Sharon Morgan led Lane with 12 points.

The Lady Bucs shot 45 percend (27-of-60) for the game and held Lane to 25.4 percent (15-of-59). The Lady Bucs held a 49-33 edge in rebounding, with each team grabbing 15 offensive boards, and the Lady Bucs forced 28 turnovers while committing 23.

The Lady Bucs return to action Thursday nght at 5:30 p.m. as they visit Harding. Their next home game is Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. against Mid-Continent.
