Lady Chargers Pull Away From Lady Bucs 77-47

Breanna Ridgell scored 13 points in the Lady Bucs' 77-47 loss to Alabama-Huntsville Thursday night.
Box Score MEMPHIS-Visiting Alabama-Huntsville out-scored the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs 52-25 over the final 22 minutes as they pulled away to a 77-47 win Thursday night.

The Lady Chargers (11-13, 8-6 GSC) led for most of the first half, but the Lady Bucs (5-16, 2-11) trimmed the lead to 25-22 on a Breanna Ridgell (Memphis, Tenn./White Station HS) jumper with 2:40 remaining in the half.  UAH closed the half with a 10-2 run, and a 25-9 run over the middle 11 minutes of the second half put the game out of reach.

Samantha Reeves (Somerville, Tenn./Fayette Academy) paced the Lady Bucs with 15 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks.  Ridgell scored 13 with four steals.

Jasmine Hammon led UAH with 17 points.  Morgan Duncan scored 13, and Jordan Smith added 11.

The Lady Bucs shot 33.3 percent (16-of-48) for the game to UAH's 39.1 percent (27-of-69).  UAH was 38.5 percent (10-of-26) from three-point range to the Lady Bucs' 16.7 percent (2-of-12).  UAH out-rebounded the Lady Bucs 44-33, including a 20-10 margin in offensive rebounds, and they forced 28 CBU turnovers while committing 21.

The Lady Bucs return to action Saturday afternoon at 2:05 p.m. as they host Shorter.
