TUNICA, Miss.–The Christian Brothers University Bucs ended their season with an eighth-place finish in the Gulf South Conference Championships at Tunica National.
The Bucs' low scorer, for the sixth time in the last seven events, was freshman
Mitchell Bennett (Memphis, Tenn./Christian Brothers HS), who finished 19th place with a 14-over (76-76-78-230) on the 7,037-yard par-72 course.
Sam Shankle (Dyersburg, Tenn./Dyersburg HS) (78-85-80-243) finished 27-over for 32nd place, followed by
Leo Castillo (Monterrey, Mexico/Montverde Academy) (82-80-84) in 35th place.
Andrew Aristorenas (Adamsville, Tenn./Adamsville HS) (84-83-80-247) was 37th, and
Kyle Barron (Clarksville, Tenn./Clarksville HS) (78-88-87-253) finished 40th to complete the Bucs' scoring.
CBU (314-324-322) finished 41 strokes behind seventh-place Shorter (301-315-303). West Florida (290-289-307-886) earned the championship.
