Box Score SEARCY, Ark.–Three different Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs scored as they cruised to a 3-0 win at Harding Sunday afternoon in their final tune-up before beginning Gulf South Conference play next weekend.
The Lady Bucs (3-0-1) scored two goals 57 seconds apart midway through the first half. In the 30th minute,
Emily Smith (Memphis, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) dribbled through the Harding (0-4) defense and fired a left-footed shot into the right corner of the net for the only goal CBU would need. In the 31st minute, Smith sent a cross to Mariana Tinelli on the right side, and Tonelli shot into the bottom left corner of the net for a 2-0 CBU lead.
Camilla Rodrigues (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) scored her first goal of the season in the 69th minute as she converted on an
Alex Bickenbach (Memphis, Tenn./St. Benedict HS) cross that found her in the middle of the box.
The Lady Bucs out-shot the hosts 21-10, including an 11-5 edge in shots on goal.
Robyn Wade (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) made five saves to earn her 10th career shutout.
The Lady Bucs open GSC play Friday night at 6 p.m. as they host West Georgia. They also play at home next Sunday afternoon at noon, when they host Valdosta State.
