Lady Bucs Trounce Trojans 3-0

Camilla Rodrigues scored a goal and an assist in the Lady Bucs' 3-0 win at Trevecca Nazarene Wednesday afternoon.
Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn.-The Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs scored three goals in a 23-minute span of the second half to pull away from host Trevecca Nazarene Wednesday afternoon.

While the Lady Bucs (5-1-1) controlled play throughout the game, they were unable to find the net for the first 64 minutes, despite out-shooting the Trojans (3-4) 16-1 over that stretch. But in the 65th minute, Camilla Rodrigues (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School) sent a cross to Mariana Tonelli (Belo Horizonte, Brazil/American School), who finished for her second goal of the season. Rodriguez tacked on her first goal of the season, off an Emily Smith (Memphis, Tenn./Briarcrest Christian HS) cross, in the 84th minute to double the Lady Bucs' advantage.

Smith scored unassisted in the 88th minute to set the final margin at 3-0.

Robyn Wade (Collierville, Tenn./Collierville HS) made one save, earning her fourth shutout of the season and the 12th of her career, two behind the school record set by Jennifer Simon (2000-02).

The Lady Bucs out-shot Trevecca 20-2 for the game, including a 7-1 edge in shots on goal.

The Lady Bucs hit the road again this weekend, visiting North Alabama Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. Their next home game is set for Friday, Oct. 4, at 5 p.m. against Delta State.
